Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information SYNAPSE SYSTEMS LLC ("we") collects when you use the DocketHelp browser extension and dockethelp.net, and how we use it. In short: we keep only what is needed to run your subscription, and court documents never reach our servers.

What stays on your computer

The extension reads the court case page you have open and downloads its documents directly from the court portal to your computer. Court documents, case data, your portal credentials and your browsing history are not sent to us or to anyone else.

What we collect

• Email address — identifies your subscription and is where we send sign-in links.
• Device identifier — a random ID created by the extension, used to enforce the two-computer limit. It contains no information about you or your computer.
• Subscription details — status, trial and renewal dates, and the Stripe customer and subscription IDs.
• Technical logs — IP address and time of requests to our server, kept for security and abuse prevention.

We do not see or store your card number. Payment details are collected and stored by Stripe.

How we use it

Only to provide DocketHelp: checking your subscription, signing you in, preventing duplicate purchases, sending service emails (sign-in links, important account notices) and protecting the service from abuse. We do not sell your information, do not use it for advertising and do not use analytics or tracking tools.

Service providers

• Stripe — payment processing, sales tax and receipts. Stripe acts as the merchant of record for your purchase and handles your payment information under its own privacy policy.
• Resend — delivery of sign-in emails.
• Google Cloud — hosting of our license server.

How long we keep it

Account and subscription records are kept while you are a customer and for up to 3 years afterwards for accounting and dispute purposes, unless the law requires longer. Sign-in requests are deleted after 24 hours; server logs are rotated regularly.

Your choices

You can cancel your subscription at any time on My subscription. To access, correct or delete your information, email support@dockethelp.net. Some records may be retained where the law requires it.

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes, and license answers from our server are digitally signed so they cannot be forged.

Children

DocketHelp is a professional tool and is not directed to children under 13.
